The Yamaha XTZ 125 motorcycle has been caught during a public road test on the streets of Pune for the first time in the country. The dual-purpose bike is currently sold in the Ecuador and Philippines market and we are not sure if the company plans to launch this model in the Indian market.
Powering the Yamaha XTZ 125 is a 124cc, air cooled, single cylinder engine that is capable of producing a maximum power output of 12.5 hp at 8,000 rpm and 11.6 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. This engine is paired with a five-speed transmission.
Dimension wise, the XTZ 125 from Yamaha measures 2,090mm in length, 830mm in width and 1,115 mm in height while the ground clearance is rated at 260mm/. The fuel tank capacity stands at 11 litres while the model tips the weighing scale at 118 kgs (wet). A few other highlights of the model include a long travel suspension at the front, a monoshock suspension at the rear, under-seat exhaust and spoked wheels. Braking duties on the model are taken care of by a disc brake and a drum brake at the front and rear respectively.
