Volkswagen India teased everyone with the latest teaser of the upcoming Taigun SUV before its launch. In the teaser, the company has offered a glimpse to the front-end of the final model of the SUV.
A Little About 2021 Taigun SUV
The company is going to use the same MQB AO IN platform to develop the upcoming Taigun SUV as used for the Skoda Vision IN. If we talk about its engine & transmission, it will be almost identical to its cousin model. However, the exterior design & styling is going to be an entirely different game.
Taigun, a compact SUV, was first displayed in India as a concept in last year’s Auto Expo and it will be one of the four SUVs that Volkswagen will launch in India in the near future. The launch of Taigun is confirmed as it is already listed on Volkswagen India’s official website.

Engine & Transmission of 2021 Taigun Compact SUV
Taigun will offer a 1-litre turbocharged TSI petrol engine that is rated to produce a maximum power of 113 hp and a peak torque of 200 Nm. The engine will come mated with a 6-speed manual transmission unit. It is not yet confirmed but the company might also offer its 7-speed DSG auto transmission system with this SUV.

Design Features of 2021 Taigun SUV
The exterior design & styling features set a sporty & boxy design language for the 2021 Taigun. The SUV will be equipped with LED lights, fog lamps on the bumper along with faux skid plates and LED light bar on the backside.
Inside the cabin, Taigun will offer a lot of features alongside connectivity utilities. The final model of the compact SUV will offer an 8-inch infotainment display with a premium finish.
Rivalry
After Taigun is launched in India, it will surely become direct rivals with cars such as Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
