Tata Altroz Spied Undisguised

Production Ready Tata Altroz Spied Undisguised For The First Time

Tata Motors recently showcased a near-production-ready version of the 45X Concept, which will be known as the Tata Altroz, at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. Now, a single spy image of what seems to be the complete production-ready Altroz has surfaced on the web.

Believed to have been spied without any camouflage at the company’s production facility located in Pune, Maharashtra, the Tata Altroz is based on the new ALFA platform. Based on the brand’s Impact 2 design philosophy, the Altroz will be Tata’s first premium hatchback ever. As seen in the spy image, the Altroz will be nearly identical to the unit showcased at the Geneva Motor Show, with a few changes such as the single tonewheels with a new design. It is also likely that the 17-inch units will make way for 16-inch units.

Details regarding the engine specifications of the upcoming Tata Altroz premium hatchback are scarce at the moment although the model is expected to source power from the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine from the Tiago and the 1.5-litre diesel engine from the Nexon. A few reports suggested that the model could also be offered with the 1.5-litre diesel engine from the Nexon.
