Nissan Magnite Had 32,800 Bookings In Just 1 Month

Nissan Magnite had a very exciting month since it got launched in the Indian market on December 2. The major chunk of its sales came as it is one of the most affordable subcompact SUV in the country, it received 32,800 bookings.

The company also announced great news for all the potential customers – the introductory price of all the Magnite models will remain valid, except for the base variant that costs Rs 5.49 lakh.

Magnite Proved To Be A Lifeboat For The Company

Magnite has become the leading source of sales for Nissan in the Indian market. The sub-compact SUV segment is one of the most challenging segments in India that sees intense rivalry among the carmakers.

Nissan Magnite, therefore, became a clear choice for a new offering as it could lure in customers thanks to the very popular segment.

However, Nissan said that it does not yet have a big sales or post-sales network. But it also said that the company will soon expand the car’s presence on both digital and physical channels.

Till now, the company does not have any plans to add to the current sales channels. But it is confident that the customers will be very much interested in the car. And not just because of Magnite’s novelty factor but because of its leading features & capability.

Here’s What The Top Management Says

Rakesh Srivastava, the MD of Nissan, spoke to some members at a virtual press conference where he said that most of the customers are buying the high-end models of Magnite.

He also said that the customers are also very interested in the car’s visual appeal and its drive dynamics. The company will also add 5000 employees to its workforce and will create a third shift at its manufacturing unit. This will help the company to reduce the waiting time for Magnite, which is 3 months currently.

Technological Features of Magnite

The company will be offering an optional Tech Pack with the Magnite which will cost around Rs 38,000. The tech pack will include a premium music system, ambient lights, wireless mobile charging, and much more.

Apart from the technological features, Magnite will be available in multiple colour options – single and dual-tone.

Engine & Transmission of Magnite

Magnite will draw its power from a 1-litre petrol engine and will be available in two options – regular and turbocharged. Talking about its transmission, the car will get a 5-speed manual and also an X-TRONIC CVT unit.
