BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine Launched In The Indian Market

BMW India officially launched the new 3 Series Gran Limousine on 21 January (Thursday) in the Indian market. The 3 Series Gran Limousine is a longer-wheelbase variant of the current popular sedan, which has found a lot of buyers in India.

The car promises more interior space and more comfort. This is the key highlight of the new car, which will be another addition to the product portfolio of BMW India.

Dimension Update of BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine

The newly launched car, 3 Series Gran Limousine, received a longer wheelbase at 2961 mm, which is 110 mm longer than the current regular 3 Series. And overall, the sedan is 120 mm longer – this gives the car a spacious leg space for the passengers sitting on the back. To be precise, the car is 43 mm longer. Apart from length, the sedan received a marginal increase in height.

The cabin features high quality ‘Vernasca’ leather upholstery, ambient lighting, panoramic glass sunroof, wireless mobile charging, and BMW Live Cockpit Professional.

Engine, Transmission & Performance

The new sedan is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine along with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine opinion. The diesel engine variant is rated to produce a maximum power of 190 PS and a peak torque of 400 Nm. While the petrol engine variant delivers a max power of 258 PS & 400 Nm of peak torque.

The new 3 series sedan is 250 kilos heavier than the standard range of 3 series cars. And the new Gran Limousine can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds.

Talking about the transmission, the new sedan’s engine is mated to an eight-speed auto gearbox and it comes with 3 driving modes – Eco, City & Sport.

Variants of 3 Series Gran Limousine

The customers will get two design schemes to choose from – the Luxury Line and the M Sport “First Edition”, which is a limited edition that will only be available to the launch phase.

The M Sport First Edition, especially, features a muscular character and offers distinct M elements that give it a sporty look.
