Mercedes-Benz has launched a new petrol variant of the C-Class in India, known as the C200 Progressive. The model has been launched with a price tag of INR 43.46 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India) and is available with a petrol engine and a hybrid system.
Based on the C-Class facelift from Mercedes-Benz that was launched in India earlier this year, the C200 Progressive sources power from a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of producing a maximum power output of 181 hp between 5,800-6,100 rpm and 280 Nm of torque between 3,000-4,000 rpm. This engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and ‘EQ Boost’, a mild hybrid system that comes with a 48V electric motor that produces an additional 16 hp and 160 Nm of torque. This model can attain speeds of 0-100kmph in 7.7 seconds, up to a top speed of 239kmph.
A few feature highlights of the new Mercedes-Benz C200 Progressive include LED headlamps with LED DRLs, panoramic sunroof, 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual zone climate control, cruise control, ambient lighting with 64 colour options, park assist and rain sensing wipers.
