Mercedes-Benz locally-assembled and launched the AMG GLC 43 Coupe in India. This feat has brought AMG closer to India. The performance sports car, GLC 43 marks the beginning of the local assembly of Mercedes AMG products at the Chakan plant near Pune.
The new AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe is also the 10th launch by Mercedes Benz India and 5th launch by AMG in India this year. With this launch, the company – Mercedes – now manufactures a total of 11 models in India.
The company announced earlier that it will start assembling its AMG products locally in India. This move by Mercedes can make these high-performance products available to a larger set of customers, thanks to the lower costs.
The AMG GLC 43 Coupe was first introduced in India in 2016, but now it will be assembled in the company’s local facility in India in Chakan.
The MD & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, Martin Schwenk said that the company observed an increase in demand for the high-performance AMG cars. He also stated that with the beginning of the local assembly, the company’s ambition to start making AMG vehicles more accessible.
Martin Schwenk also mentioned that starting local manufacturing of AMG products from India’s biggest luxury car manufacturing unit is a crucial feat achieved by the company.
Features of AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe
Apart from the big news that the GLC 43 Coupe was assembled locally, there’s a lot going on with the high-performance car.
The SUV is loaded with high visual appeal with AMG-specific front main grille along with vertical chrome-plated fins. Apart from this, the SUV has bold looks highlighted by the LED headlamps.
The buyers will be offered different tyre sizes which will range from 19 inches to 21 inches. These will, of course, get AMG letters as standard.
The GLC 43 Coupe gets a broad apron, two round twin tailpipes, and diffuser on the rear side. All these features help increase its sporty appeal.
Comfort & Technology Features
The locally assembled AMG GLC 43 is loaded with standard sport seats with the black Artico leather material complemented with red coloured topstitching.
The SUV is also equipped with five drive modes namely: Comfort, Slippery, Individual, Sport and Sport+.
The SUV is built with safety features such as seven airbags, Active Braking Assist, Active Bonnet, etc.
Engine & Performance
The high-performance coupe is powered by a powerful V6 3 litre turbo engine that produces a maximum power of 385 bhp, which is 23 bhp more than the previous model. And, the engine produces a peak torque of 520 Nm,
The GLC 43 Coupe can go from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds and has a rated top speed of 250 km/h. This makes it one of the favourites among speed lovers.
Price of AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe
The newly locally-assembled AMG GLC 43 has been launched with a price tag of Rs 76.7 lakh which is significantly low compared to the Rs 1+ crore imported model.
