The i20 was first introduced in the Indian market in 2008. The recently launched model has received updates and upgrades to its design, engine options, transmissions, and features.
Design of Hyundai i20
The i20 features a new Parametric Jewel pattern front grille that refreshes its looks. The premium hatchback also features eye-catchy LED headlamps on either side that comes with the i20 branding. The new i20’s visual and practical appeal gets upgraded with the projector fog lamps in the D-shaped casing.
The Turbo variant features a red and black colour theme that well aligns with its athletic front styling. The car is given an amazing detailed definition with straight flowing character lines on the bonnet towards the front grille.
Hyundai i20 features sporty style on the sides too with the R16 diamond-cut alloys, chrome door handles, large quarter-back glass on its C-pillar and a black-coloured side sill with i20 branded badge, and much more.
The rear side has noticeable new design upgrades too with the all-new Z-shaped tail light, a chrome beltline and much more.
New Cabin Upgrades
The new Hyundai i20 2020 receives extra space on the interior that prioritizes features and offers a much more spacious i20.
Now passengers will get more legroom, headroom along with good under-thigh support – making it the perfect premium hatchback that the current market demands. The new i20 also features the one-touch electric sunroof but it is not the most significant highlight.

The new i20 features a huge 10.25 inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Oxyboost Air Purifier that displays air quality, blue coloured interior light theme, wireless mobile charging which comes with a cooling pad, a Bose sound system with 7 speakers, and a huge digital cluster along with TFT display.
Other technological features offered by the new Hyundai i20 includes Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist Control, Electronic Stability Control, Rear Parking Camera and much more.
The new i20 also receives the company’s BlueLink technology for the very first time.

Engine & Transmission of the New Hyundai i20
The new premium hatchback offers three engine options. A 1.0-litre Turbo petrol engine that comes with a DCT or iMT transmission unit. The second engine option is a 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine which comes mated to IVT or a five-speed manual gearbox. The third engine option offered is a 1.5-litre diesel engine that offers a six-speed manual transmission unit.
