First Tata Altroz Premium Hatchback Rolls Out

Guenter Butschek, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Motor flags off an important event to mark a new beginning while the year 2019 is approaching its last month. The event being the rollout of the first Tata Altroz from the company’s plant in Pune. The folks at Tata expressed that the Altroz will be a class defining product from the brand as it comes with an array of company’s firsts. The highly anticipated premium hatchback was first revealed at the Auto Expo in 2018 as the 45X concept, followed by a display at the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) as the Altroz, in its production avatar.

The Tata Altroz is the first product that is based on the all-new ALFA platform and the second vehicle of the stable to be designed under the Impact design 2.0 language. Tata Motors on Wednesday rolled out the 1st unit of ALTROZ from its plant in Pune. With this, the company is all set for the launch of the highly anticipated, premium hatchback in Jan 2020.

1st Unit Of Altroz

Commenting on the roll-out, Mr Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (PVBU), Tata Motors said, “We are thrilled to roll-out yet another class defining product from the plant today. The ALTROZ is our first product that will be launched on the all-new ALFA platform and we believe that it will raise the bar for vehicles across the premium hatchback segment, come 2020. Since the unveiling of the concept in 2018, the anticipation for ALTROZ has always been high. We hope that customers will appreciate the new futuristic design with a host of smart features, many of which are one segment above.”

As of now, not a lot of is known about the Altroz as the official details are yet to reach the internet. As per the official website – the Tata Altroz is all about premium. For the design, the company says it gets the LASER look. LASER stands for Laser-cut sharpness, Athletic stance, Sleek Profile, Energetic presence, and Refined appearance. For the inside is it PICASA – Premium, Intelligent, Comfortable, Spaceous, Advanced. And finally, for the built it is ALFA – Agile Light Flexible Advanced Architecture.

The Tata Altroz Premium Hatchback will be launched in January 2020. Till then stay tuned!
