X5 M Competition is the latest model launched in India by BMW. Its price is Rs 1.94 crore. It will compete with the Audi RSQ8 and the Lamborghini Urus.
The huge air intake openings on the front bumpers, feeding extra air, will offer the all-new X5 M Competition a commanding presence on the roads. The BMW laser light is featured in the Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) and its range is about 500 meters.
BMW X5 M Competition Design Features
M light-alloy wheels in a format of 24-inches are at the front axle while 22-inch is at the rear with starlike spokes 809 ‘M’ bi-colour. The M xDrive all-wheel-drive system and Active M Differential are promising in their ability to provide a performance on-road that is extremely dynamic. Off-road they promise to provide masterful ability.
The steering wheel is provided with paddle-shifters. Along with cruise control that has a braking function and a launch control function, the promise to provide a comfortable driving experience is quite evident.
As for aerodynamic enhancements, the X5 M Competition features a roof and a lower tailgate spoiler.
BMW X5 M Competition Driving Features
The company promises smooth, comfortable and sporty long drives thanks to the M Servotronic steering. Precise handling is ensured due to the M-specific chassis. Two settings are provided for the brake pedal feels, Sport and Comfort. The riders will get three options to choose from – Track, Road, and Sport mode. These modes can be switched easily with the M-mode present on the centre console.
BMW X5 M Competition Utility Features
BMW India has loaded the X5 M Competition with loads of utility features such as a Multifunction Display touchscreen with 12.3-inch size, iDrive Touch Controller, multifunction buttons on the steering wheel, a voice control feature along with the optional BMW Gesture Control.
These are some Standard features offered by the company: BMW Live Cockpit Professional along with a navigation system and the BMW Virtual Assistant.
BMW X5 M Competition Safety Features
Safety features include airbags in the front, side, and head. Some other important safety features include Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) that includes ‘M’ Dynamic Mode, Dynamic Brake Control, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dry Braking function, and Pedestrian Warning along with City Braking function.
BMW X5 M Competition Performance
The X5 M Competition features the latest generation V8 engine that powers up this magnificent car. Apart from that, the X5 M Competition is loaded with the M TwinPower Turbo technology, which includes a cooling system (racetrack-proven) that enhances its performance even further.
The engine delivers a maximum power of 600 hp and a humungous 750 nm torque. The company claims that the X5 M Competition takes only 3.8s to go from 0 to 100kmph, however, the SAV has a top speed of 250 km/h which is being electronically limited.
