Piaggio is all set to launch the all- new Aprilia SXR 160 in the last week of December in the Indian market. On Friday (December 11, 2020) announced that it is commencing the pre-launch bookings for its upcoming premium scooter – Aprilia SXR 160.
The company also announced that the customers can book the soon-to-launched scooter at ₹5,000 by either using Piaggio India’s website or by visiting any of the company’s dealerships throughout India.
The customers and two-wheeler enthusiasts have a lot of expectations from the upcoming scooter as it promises many things even before its launch while it was first displayed at the Auto Expo 2020, in February 2020. The scooter will surely gain the same level of attention after it is officially launched in India. This is majorly because of the scooter’s visual appeal which gets its design from the Aprilia’s global design language.

The Aprilia SXR 160 is more focused on customers who are looking for a bit more expensive and upmarket scooters in this category.
This is why it is equipped with high-end features such as wrap-around LED headlights & tail lights, option of mobile connectivity, full digital cluster, comfortable seating, ABS system with disc brake, adjustable rear suspension, signature graphics of Aprilia, and many more.
Engine of Aprilia SXR 160
The upcoming SXR 160 is equipped with a 160 cc, BS 6 compliance petrol engine with three-valve fuel injection and clean emission technology. Talking about the transmission unit, the engine is mated with a CVT (automatic) gearbox.

To serve the best to the premium customers, Piaggio has made the Aprilia SXR 160 available in the Indian market in three colour options: Matt Blue, Glossy Red, Matt Black and Glossy White.

Price Range of Aprilia SXR 160
The SXR 160 is expected to be launched on December 28, 2020 with an expected price range of ₹1.10 lakh to ₹1.30 lakh (ex-showroom).

Apart from the announcement of pre-launch bookings of SXR 160, the company has confirmed that it might debut the all-new Vespa Electtrica in Indian market by 2022.
