Piaggio has revealed brand new flagship supersport bikes – the Aprilia RSV4 & the Aprilia RSV4 Factory 2021 – after the new Moto Guzzi V9 Roamer and Bobber. Along with the new updates & upgrades, the bike is now equipped with a higher cc engine – 1099cc and new electronics & instrumentation.
The bike was first spotted during its road testing in November 2020. This gave a hint at the latest updates in design. But the bikes not just received design updates but more than that, it received mechanical updates too.
New Design Features of Aprilia RSV4
First, let’s take a look at the exterior design features. Some key styling features of the bike are similar to the RS 660. According to the company, the design features of the RSV4 offers an extremely low aerodynamic resistance coefficient.
The updated RSV4 bikes offer winglets on a new location – integrated on to the fairing. Apart from these external design features, the bike also features LED headlights along with cornering lights.
The 2021 RSV4 also gets updated ergonomics that is more comfortable and natural, according to the company.
New Features of Aprilia RSV4
The 2021 RSV4 features an updated TFT display screen, which is bigger than the screen on the previous model and it is claimed to be better in functionality and intuitiveness. Along with that, the updated bike receives a new ECU and 6-axis IMU platform.
Talking about the electronic features, the bike gets a new ride-by-wire throttle along with APRC (Aprilia) system. In terms of riding, the bike gets multi-level engine brake control and six riding modes.

Updated Engine & Performance of Aprilia RSV4
The 2021 RSV4 bike features a new swingarm that is relatively lighter, drawing inspiration from Aprilia RS-GP (from MotoGP).
The engine of the bike is also updated and now the V4 engine meets the criteria for Euro 5 emissions. What’s more? The engine now produces more power & torque.
The powertrain has a larger displacement (1099cc) and is bigger than the predecessor engine (1077cc). The updated engine of the RSV4 is rated to produce a maximum power of 217PS.
