Ahead of its launch that is likely to take place next year, the upcoming BMW X5 has been spotted completely uncamouflaged in India. Spy images shared on the web reveal the exterior and interior of the new BMW X5, which is the fourth generation model.
Based on BMW’s Cluster Architecture (CLAR) platform, the new BMW X5 shares it’s underpinning with the new 5-Series and 7-Series. Outside, the 2019 X5 receives a larger kidney-grille, flanked by twin-pod LED headlamps on either side. The front bumper, which now features chrome inserts, also comes equipped with fog lamps. At the rear, the model benefits from a set of wraparound LED tail lights, twin exhaust tips finished in chrome and a new silver coloured scuff plate housed on the new bumper.

Inside, the upcoming BMW X5 comes equipped with dual-tone interiors, refreshed dashboard, large touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof and a fully digital instrument cluster. As seen in one of the spy images, the model is the xDrive 30d variant. This variant sources power from a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder diesel engine that produces 261 hp at 4,000 rpm and 620 Nm of torque between 2,00-2,500 rpm. This motor is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system.
